I didn’t set an alarm for us this day. I knew it was going to be a long day, so I wanted to make sure everyone had gotten enough sleep the night before. We went back to Magic Kingdom for some more Disney magic…
As soon as we walked in Sami spotted someone she hadn’t met yet…
Followed by…
We then headed to Fantasyland. We were able to ride EVERYTHING back there in under an hour. September’s low crowds plus my super planning = extra magic for us!
The girls and I after riding Dumbo…
After this it was time to head to our first ADR (dining reservation) at 1900 Park Fare- The Supercalifragilistic Breakfast . It is at the Grand Floridian hotel, so we took a ferry ride over there. That was fun! When we got there Sami put on her Alice costume, and we were ready for breakfast! We were VERY sad when we sat down and they told us Alice had “fallen down the wrong rabbit hole”…Sami LOVES Alice. Boo! It turns out she was sick…I guess even cast members get sick. Sami wasn’t as sad as I thought she would have been, and she really cheered up when she saw the cereal buffet! Ha! I must say-Matt DOES NOT eat at buffets, but he loved Disney buffets!
Then we met…
So instead of Alice we got…
After breakfast we rode the monorail back to Magic Kingdom, and took a bus back to the hotel to rest before Mickey’s Not So Scary Halloween Party! This party was in addition to our tickets for the week, but so fun and SO worth the extra money! There is a special parade, fireworks show, trick or treating, a Villain show…games…so much! The girls were both Minnie Mouse with costumes I made. Matt and I were mousekeeters…sadly I didn’t get any pictures of us all together.
We got back to the park around 5 PM. The actual party didn’t start until 7 PM, but the park was already clearing out (anyone without tickets to the party had to leave at 7) so we took advantage of our last day to ride the tea cups before it closed for refurbishment. This time we let Skylar ride…it was actually my first ride on them too!
Then we went to get a little something to eat. We were already in Fantasyland, so we decided to eat at Pinocchio’s Village Haus. It was so dead in there we actually thought it may be closed! One of the CM’s told me it is always really quiet in there. It is SO cute, and the food was super yummy! After we ate it was time for the party!
Cinderella’s carriage only makes appearances at special events…we were one of the first families in line to get our picture taken with it!
The Seven Dwarves are rarely available for photos…they are usually just in parades. I really wanted to meet them. So Skylar and I waited in line while Matt and Sami went trick or treating…then came back just in time for a picture! Can you see Sami and I in there? I was sad when I saw this picture was so far away…
Part of the fun of the party is seeing the characters dressed in costume! Daisy was impressed with Sami’s outfit, and loved comparing!
Stopping to play a game…
I had read on DIS that there would be FREE face painting at the party, so we were sure to check that out…
Then we found someone we had been looking for!!!!
Sami was not interested in watching the fireworks, so she and Matt went off to ride while Skylar and I took a break and sat on the little bridge from Tomorrowland overlooking the castle. It was a perfect spot! Then we went and got a front row spot for the Villain Show!
After the show everyone was feeling pretty tired. We didn’t want to push it, but we didn’t want to miss out on the parade either…so we pulled up some curb in front of Town Hall and waited for the parade to begin. We were so glad we did because it was SO fun!
The Headless Horseman kicks off the parade…
The candy at the end of the night…
It was well after Midnight when we got back to the room…thankfully we didn’t turn into pumpkins!
