This was Sami’s first year in Girl Scouts, and her first year to sell cookies. She (and Skylar) had SO much fun helping us sort them when they came in!
I would tell Sami what the person had ordered, and she would bag and tag them! We went out yesterday delivering to some of our friends and family that had ordered…it was actually a lot of fun!

Sami chose Phineas and Ferb Valentine cards for school this year. She wrote her name on them, and attached a sucker…they are all set and ready to go!
The girls are passing out treats to their classmates at dance as well. I thought instead of traditional cards it would be fun to pass out something cute. So I went where any mom who needs a cute idea goes…Pinterest! There are SO many cute things out there!
We made these mustache suckers….
They were really easy to make! I found a mustache template online to use as a stencil. I used black cardstock to cut the mustache’s from. Punched a hole and slipped it on to the tootsie pop. Then I used a silver marker to write <3 Sami (or Skylar)
I think they’re super fun…hopefully the girls at dance enjoy them as much as we enjoyed making them!
Happy Valentine’s Day!
I hope I don’t jinx myself by saying this, but we have had a VERY mild winter. There has really only been one weekend with enough snow for playing in! Sami LOVES to play in the snow! Skylar was super excited to go outside and play until she actually got out there…then she just kept saying “Hold me…I no like dis snow!”
Skylar would not leave the porch!! We tried to get her to touch the snow on the porch, but she wasn’t having it. She kept saying “Lillie (her buddy) likes the snow. She eats it!”
Sami however had a blast in the snow!
She tried to make a snowman/fort, but it wasn’t good packing snow.
The day after this we went to Matt’s parents house to sled. Skylar went down once and decided she was done, so she came in with me. Sami stayed out with her Daddy and uncles for almost 2 hours! I couldn’t believe it!! They had SO much fun! Uncle Mitchell even built a snowman with her! Sadly- I didn’t get any pictures. Bummer!
Skylar has been asking for MONTHS to start a ballet class. She spends a lot of time at the studio with her sister, so I guess it was just a matter of time before she caught dance fever.
A new Pre-Ballet class opened up, so it was the perfect time to let her try a class and see how she liked it.
I couldn’t get over how tiny and cute she looked in her leo and little ballet slippers. When it was time to go in she said “I go to class???” I said yes, and she marched her little self right in!
She never cries when she goes in the nursery at church,but I wasn’t sure how she would do in more of a classroom setting…she is only 2 1/2 after all. She had a great time though, and LOVED it!!!
She went to her second class this week, and had just as much fun. Look out world…there are two Kristoff dancers now! 
At the end of January Sami’s school celebrated their 100th day of school! In Sami’s class they made necklace’s, played games, and made projects at home.
Sami wanted to make a snow fort with mini marshmallows. She counted out 100 marshmallows…grabbed some glue…and went to town! 
Skylar helped by eating the extra marshmallows! 
Sami did such a great job. She was SO proud of herself because it was HER project that she did all by herself.
The finished product…a snow fort with a snowman in the middle….
I can’t believe 1st grade is more than half way over!!!
