Sami spent the weekend of the 4th in Texas visiting my brother and his family…so we only had Skylar to take to the parade.
The 4th of July is one of my favorite holidays! The past few years we have gone to the Crown Point parade with our friends Dave and Jessica. Dave’s parents live right on the parade route. It is so nice to watch there! Everyone brings a dish, and we have a picnic before hand. Dave’s mom passes out popsicles about half way through the parade, and there is always the option to go inside and use the bathroom if you need to!
Skylar wasn’t so sure about the sirens at the beginning, but as soon as they were gone she got into the parade spirit! I think her festive tutu helped….
That evening we took Malachi with us to the Crown Point fireworks…they began earlier than scheduled so we missed some of them…but we still had fun!!!

That looks like fun! How nice to have a good parking spot, convenient bathroom, and good friends and food.
My neighbors said the CP fireworks were really good this year. Fireworks are my favorite part of the 4th, but we chose to skip this year so we could get cranky little ones to bed.
